BAER ART CENTER provides an exceptional natural environment,
first class accommodations, uninterrupted time and private space for
internationally diverse groups of visual artists, designers and architects
so they may foster and deepen their creative spirit.
The art center is also committed to preserving the majestic nature that
surrounds the farmland and property at Baer.

big changes
After a decade of operating summer residency seasons with four week long residency sessions at BAER ART CENTER, the setup of our program will, from the spring of 2017, shift to shorter residency sessions, thematic workshops and art classes.
The short summer sessions and workshops will be hosted by invitation only in the summer of 2017.

Designers´ workshop - October 2015
A group of Danish and Icelandic designers spent a few days at Baer in beautiful fall weather at the beginning of October. The designers' team was brought together by EPAL, www.epal.is, to work on an exclusive 40th anniversary project for the design store.
